Today, I say goodbye to my Foreo Issa 2 Mini which I had for almost 4 years. Back then, I wasn't sure how a silicone toothbrush would work and would I regret purchasing it, hence I purchased the mini for $129. But boy did I fall in love with it and when it finally broke, I was so devastated. 

While the Foreo Mini 2 was a smaller toothbrush catered for kids but who said adults couldn't use them? The biggest difference between the Mini and the Regular is that the Issa 2 has 16 speeds while the Mini comes with a standard 1 speed. 

The brush head is replaceable so you could try a funky colour if you'd like and it comes with the regular brush head which is fully silicone or the Hybrid brush head which is half nylon half silicone. 

Since day 1 of using my Foreo Issa Mini, I have noticed that my gums stop bleeding. Which was something that happens very often and almost 80% of the time of me brushing my teeth. I have tried the rotating electric toothbrush in the past and didn't quite like it. While it cleaned really well and you could clean your individual teeth and reduce plague and build-ups, it wasn't that gentle. 

I started using the Issa Hybrid brush head and could immediately feel the difference, it cleans really well and it was really gentle as well. Months later when I switch to regard Issa brush head, it was really gentle but took me a week to get used to the less-to-none foam and less friction/literally brushing on my gums and teeth. 

The biggest impact was when my Foreo Issa Mini broke and would no longer turn on nor charge, I had to switch to a manual old school traditional toothbrush and my gums started bleeding (how fun!) After one brush, I immediately knew I had to get my replacement and I had purchased the Foreo Issa 3 that same night. 

I am definitely excited for Auspost to deliver my new toothbrush (ETA next Monday!) and I'll definitely give an update if I see a difference! 

Note: for those who asked why didn't I repair or replace my Foreo Issa Mini, it's because it has been out of warranty, and I did not register it when I purchased it (my mistake) hence, it was difficult to repair it. 

Till then, I say goodbye to my Foreo Mini. 

Finding a job these days isn't easy. (Any job is easy, but a job that suits you, and would be happy to stay and in a great company isn't)
Finding a job in a different country doesn't make it any easier.
Finding a company to sponsor your work visa and offer you a job isn't anywhere close to easy.

When I decided to move to Australia, it took a lot of consideration and thinking. I've been through a lot in the past 12 months, and that is why I am sharing my story.

When I first graduated, I searched for jobs in Singapore for nine months, and many times I was rejected because I needed a working visa/permit or I wasn't physically in the country for an interview. Hence, when I decided to move to Australia, I knew it wasn't easy.



I started sending my resume in October 2016, decided to quit my job back in Malaysia in December 2016 and moved to Sydney in January 2017, and that's when the serious hunt starts.

Looking for a job is full time - bear in mind. Updating your resume/CV and revising it a million times, cover letter, emails and applications. Every day, I searched for jobs for over 6 hours and applied for over 30 jobs. #lifeishard (Some applications even require you to sign up to their system and do an online test which takes more time)

I was lucky to be able to schedule in three interviews at least every week, and I took my interview sessions as a practice and consistently improving on how I would present myself the next time.  After two months of applying and interviews, I finally got an offer. (with the help of a very excellent recruiter)

With the process of applying for the visa and waiting which took four months, I received my visa grant and I've been working for two months.
Time flies.. ...

With this, many people have asked me how the process was and what are the steps needed for the visa.

Fees and Cost 

If you ask around, different agents will tell you a different cost of the visa, it various between $8k to $20k (depending on what the agent fee is and all that document cost and jazz) but that is up to the company to agree to pay for it.

A company can't randomly say they want to sponsor even if they are willing to fork up the money because the company needs to be in the list or to be "nominated" - this means, they are allowed to hire overseas and sponsor their visa. Hence during the Visa application, there is two part of the application.

1. Visa Employer Nomination
2. Visa Employee Application

Visa Employer Nomination is applied from the HR of the company, and Visa Employer Application is applied by you (employee). That means with every document and application, there is a fee. Something that I didn't know and nobody informed me before this.

Visa Employee Application Fee various from agent and time (thanks to the government) but what I had to pay and fork up;

• Application form $1,750
• Agent Fee $1,650
• IELTS test $330
• Health Check $323

That comes up to a total of $4,053 (rough estimate of RM15,000) that has to be paid for the visa before the agent starts any work what more the application. This fee doesn't include your flights here, accommodation, transport, food and allowance and anything else that you would need BEFORE you start working to earn any income here. So this is something that you would need to keep in mind, and to some people, it may be mentally stressful.

Eight days after we lodged our application, the Australia Prime Minister announced that the Working Visa 457 would be abolished and everyone freaked out.

The same morning, I emailed and contacted both my recruiter and the agent to ask if I would be affected and what would this mean.

New Rules: 

• Instead of Work Visa 457, it is now called Short-Term Work Visa or Medium-Term Work Visa depending on skills (Confusing, I know) 
• Instead of four years visa granted, the new visa would only be a two years grant. 
• Previous 457 visa allows unlimited renewal each time visa expires, new visa (Short Term Work Visa) only allows one renewal with no approval guarantee ( I was told there would be a review )
• Previous 457 visas can be applied with no working experience, and new Short Term Work Visa would require a minimum of 3-5 years working experience (depending on skillset and industry, I fall in Marketing Manager position which required five years).

Some people applied offshore and they are lucky enough to be able to stay in their home country while applying for jobs overseas, waiting for visa and all that jazz before coming over here hence they reduce waiting time and during the waiting time, you will not be allowed to work unless if you obtain a working holiday visa or any visa that permits you to work.



Many people told me they envy my non-working days, but I can honestly say I did not enjoy it at all. I couldn't do anything to have income, not even part-time of freelance (legally). That was my most significant obstacles, but after torturous four months of waiting, I finally started work, and I did not regret anything at all even if I had to be jobless for 9 months.

I had my eyes on the YSL or the LV wallet for a really long time. It's not that I don't have the money for it. But I just felt stupid to spend ALL my money on it and I wanted to go for smtg lower. If not next time what can I upgrade to? 

If now I change to LV then have to upgrade to Prada or Celine or stay there d. right? LOL

I mean I bought myself the Gucci years ago, But back then it was my allowance saved And I didn't have any debts or commitments. So that's not really HARD EARNED MONEY right?

But the thing is, I've got commitments And debt to pay. And now that I've got a place, It's even more. 

We have always had this issue. Oily scalp, itchy scalp, or even falky scalp. Some of the days it may be dry and flaky, and whenever we wear black tops, it is embarassing because it looks as if it's snowing on us. We've seen the ads on clear or Heads & shoulders. We have even tried all sorts of brands and type of anti-dandruff shampoos. Then the only thing to seem to work is Selsun Blue but it doesn't cure it still. 




I've tried just about every brand from sunsulk to heads&shoulders to redken, loreal and even to high ranges brand. I.T D.O.E.S.N.T W.O.R.K 


Most of us has got it, it's just how bad it is. Firstly, let me tell you my hair condition; 

• Damaged caused by bleaching
• When scalp is oily, it's crusty
• When scalp is dry, it's flaky
• When scalp is oily, hair is flat
• When scalp is dry, hair is fluffy 
• Split ends
• curly ad frizzy

My hair was voluminous and perfect. (even with the damage ends). The thing is that many of us tried so hard to try to fix it with all the chemicals, we forget to go BACK TO THE BASCIS. Anti-dandruff or even hair loss products contains a lot of chemicals that doesn't suit everyone and ESPECIALLY people with sensitive skin will react to it. Sometimes, certain product may seem alright in the beginning but then later on that is when it all flares up. High chemical products tend to strip off your natural oils and your ph balance will not be balance.

There are two ways to do it. Organic products or Baby products. So it's all up to you, both are chemical-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free and chemical-free (most importantly)

They are gentle but yet strong enough to clean away the grease. Baby products are not JUST meant for them, adults may use them too. But adults products can't be used on baby because of all the other chemicals. Sometimes we forget that why can it work on a baby and it cannot work on us? Well, actually it does. The

I am proud to say that I am on the path to a better scalp now, it has been a month, and my scalp has never felt better in YEARS!
